BE. Storms, Miracles, and Two Decades of Refusing to Quit is Zeus and Capt. Charlotte Ebio’s account of founding and running Amazing Grace Maritime Missions. It opens in the middle of a storm, with the two of them climbing aboard the m/v Amazing Grace at the Mazatlán shipyard, and later riding out Hurricane Pamela with the engines running to keep her off the pier. From there it goes back to how the mission began: fourteen years of waiting, three confirmations of God’s call, a house sold in four hours, five years of praying for the same ship, and sailing her from California to Mexico in 2017 to refit her as a medical ship.

The middle chapters show the work up close. They cover the Armor of God curriculum, the Racham ministry, Dulce Dental outreaches, life lessons taught at sea, volunteers who take a “vacation with a purpose,” and testimonies like Abraham’s, along with a chapter on the data behind the mission’s impact. The closing chapters reflect on the hard parts, including trials and perseverance, doubt, money and miracles, and why people come before programs. They end with a letter to future volunteers, a call to “join the wave” for the next decade, and an epilogue built on the title’s theme: BE hopeful, loved and encouraged. The book also includes 25 chapters’ worth of discussion questions, which makes it work for small groups.
